The Student Representative Council members of Salamah College play a major part within the school environment. The SRC represents the school and the student body. As a part of Salamah College tradition it is necessary to allocate formal positions to particular students. These students embody our school motto of Education, Faith and Discipline.
The 2014 event was hosted by Year 9B Class Captain and Year 9G1 Class Captain.
The event started with a recitation from the Holy Quran.
Then the Australian National Anthem was performed by Salamah College Choir led by Dr Lee.
After that our principal Mr Wissam Saad thanked the parents for their trust in Salamah College and conveyed that Salamah College although is still considered as a developing school but it never failed the promises. Later, the school captains delivered a speech which I would like to quote the following from it: ‘Salamah students, I would like to take the opportunity to shift the focus away from me and onto you. ’
After that a slideshow that explains the nature of the Student Representative Council by School Vice-Captains was presented.
Last but not least, the moment everyone was waiting for eagerly drew a line for the event where Mr Saad awarded the SRC students their badges then the event was concluded when the SRC members joined their parents for a morning tea break.
